While reading through articles and trying to find things to post in this blog it seems as if most of them are aimed at women and girls being treated more equally in schools. These articles seem to be aimed at getting girls more involved in the classroom. Although there was one school that felt as if girls would learn better by just 'observing' in the classroom rather than saying how they feel. I posted the link to it below. There was also a website posting this about girls:
" * Girls tend to like science, math, and computers until adolescence when their interest begins to diminish.
* Girls do not take higher science, math, and computer science classes as often as boys.
* Girls do not go into science, math, and technology careers as often as boys.
* Girls self-esteem decreases during adolescence more than that of boys. "

I am not sure if it is a bad thing that I agree with what that says about girls because it is true. But I think it is because high school is the time in our life when we are beginning to figure out who we are and when we are being criticized the most. Girls want to be liked by everyone and they try their best to do so. They will also pick classes just to be with their friends rather than picking higher classed that they can handle.

I found this article to be quite shocking:

This website is very helpful with learning about the issue and lists all kinds of articles:
